The day that you left
me behind to flee
from the spree of
a person who was
in a fray.
But I wish that you
would have stayed
with me to squish
the darkness that is
inside of my mind.
Pain of being a
bane of my own
drain that keeps
me thinking of
the chain that
left us behind.
