The Edge Of A Cliff

Falling in the sky

until I land in a tree

yet I want to deny

and flee to the surface.

Blurry faces in the night,

a hurry to avoid a fright.

Blood lingers for a while

until I made a thud in a mile.

Long roads that lead nowhere,

a wrong turn to be caught

and a strange creature

that I knew was a danger.

Sapphire eyes piercing

through the bonfire

that was burning

which was concerning.
